Mixed emotions

Journal Entry: Tue May 30, 2006, 12:26 PM
Well, yesterday sorta sucked. It was my birthday and my parents forgot. So, no cake, no present, no card, not even a happy birthday. A few of my friends remembered though! Thanks guys :hug: I was awoken at 7am by my step mother and her horrid smoker's voice, so the day started out pretty bad. She wanted me to go job hunting so I won't be so "lazy". Or I could be like her and get married 4 times and live off the alimony.
Today is better though 'cause around 1pm I recieved a call from my publisher saying they would like to publish my short stories! I couldn't believe! I didn't think they would call! So happy belated birthday to me and in memory of my story character who died a lonely death and who also'vaguely' resembles my evil step mother. :) If my books sells then maybe I'll finally have enough money to hire that hit man.
